Friendly Reminders

Hello Everyone, here are a few reminders for the week ending October 14, 2011.

We are travelling to GMCS for Reading Buddies and a Library visit on Friday, October 14, 2011.  Please have your child return their library books so that they may check out another one.

Picture Orders are due Friday, October 14, 2011.

Magazine Orders are due on Monday, October 17, 2011.

Hello, I hope that everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving weekend!

This week the students will have spelling words for their homework.

Group #1:  beautiful, friendly, no, they, when, because, general, off, they've and where.

Group #2: an, going, no, this, and, had, not, to, are and has.

Bonus word for both groups:  dainty (adjective) Something is dainty when it is very delicate.

Instead of the usual homework folder this week I would like all students to use each spelling word in a complete sentence.

I would also like each student to do a word building activity with their spelling words.  For example, Beautiful (see how many smaller words they can come up with from the letters in beautiful), be, it, fit, beau, tube, file, feat, beat, tab, tile but, bite, lit, fib, bet, eat, tea, etc.
